When it comes to croques, there is only one choice for me in Hamburg: La Famille in the Lange Reihe. Friendly, fast staff, delicious, fresh croques in very tasty bread. A reasonable serving for a very good price. Every day there is a special price on the "croque of the day". 5 stars with a "+" extra

Sorry ... that was nothing ... after I was not completely satisfied with the first visit a few months ago and did not write a review, I wanted to give La Famille a second chance. Unfortunately this time it didn't get better but worse and a rating is fair. The croque with ham, cheese, salad and tartar sauce was no longer recognizable as such as soon as the lid was removed. All ingredients are hidden under an indefinable slush of the same. The bread was so incredibly dry as if it had been in the oven for far too long and it certainly was, because otherwise one would have to assume it was from the day before. There are positive stars for the friendly staff but unfortunately that is of no use if the food is not good. There won't be a third chance. That's a shame because there aren't many croque shops nearby.

I recently went to eat at la Famille. I go there very regularly and I have to say that the croques taste good. It is regrettable, however, that the staff changes constantly and there is a lack of friendliness in the shop. Some of the employees lose your appetite. Therefore only 3 stars from me. With constant staff and friendly staff, the shop would have got 5 stars

In short: one of the worst meals I have ever ordered ... Longer version: I ordered 3 croques to take away. When I got home, I thought I had received the wrong order. Because when I opened my croque I saw neither the mushrooms that I had ordered, nor the cooked ham. Only a little salad and an incredible amount of sauce could be seen. When we took a bite, we found the mushrooms and the very cheap-tasting boiled ham (each in very small quantities) under the cheese and the vast amount of sauce, which neutralized any remaining taste. In addition, the bread, which made up about 90% (as I said, there was hardly any filling, apart from the sauce), was extremely dry. Herb butter was then again spread on this, which did not match the taste of the rest. So unfortunately I have to say that it was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten.

Definitely the best croques in town!

My absolute favorite croquelade in Hamburg has never been disappointed. A good selection of drinks is an added bonus, you can also sit outside in the yard in good weather! Bus soon!

If you like mayo and a huge peace of bread this is the place! If you like healthy food look for something else.

Croques are okay. Great garden. Difficult staff. The staff is annoyed. You are treated like a toddler. Wanted to pay immediately what was not allowed. Now sit in the garden with three other customers who have just had very similar experiences. So I have to rate it with just one star.

Absolutely nothing to say in terms of taste and aroma ... everything was really missing. The croque is an absolute insult to the palate and enjoyment because they were totally tasteless. Zero stars, actually. It was more a bleak sandwich than croque.

We ordered our Croque to take away. Unfortunately associated with a lot of waiting time (longer than specified). The taste was good but the staff was not really friendly and helpful.

The - in my opinion - best Croque-Laden Hamburg. Can not understand other negative reviews regarding the staff. So far, everything has always been great. All, which I liked the store very much (!) Recommended / could only confirm this.

We ordered and already at the entrance a little scurry past. When we waited for our order we saw a crawling and the toilets even more. The store should be closed, the mice / rats are not deterred by people or noise. We canceled our order and left immediately. The service has responded quite normally as if it had not happened for the first time.

Food is great but the staff are very unfriendly, the banquettes take very long to make do to being under staffed and a very small oven.

This is the best croque I've ever had. The voodoo sauce is amazing. This is a must visit if you are in Hamburg

From an American standpoint this place is great. Delicious Food, Unique Atmosphere, and Friendly Service all add up to really make this place special.

Very good Croques & crêpes. It is very small inside though. Everything is self-service but the staff is very friendly.

Nice sandwich. Small place. Good if you want to grab a bite nearby. I recommend another sandwich if this is really your thing: Klimperkiste. Google my reviews.

Very very tasty sandwiches! My recommendation: il siciliano. But be prepared to wait long to have your sandwich. Still worth it.

Amazing croques - keep going back to try all the sorts!

This is a bit of a-hole-in-the-wall place just a few blocks from the central train station. It looked quaint and cozy, if not a tad crowded from the outside. Inside it's a bit crowded and disorganized. We ate here on a Friday night so it was probably its busiest time. We had a crepe and what the menu called a "croquette" which turned out to be nothing more than a toasted sandwich. It was good enough but not what I had hoped for and nothing you couldn't get in any sandwich shop. The crepe was was thick and rubbery without much flavor. An assortment of bottled drinks can be chosen from two glass front refrigerators near the counter. The selection was interesting and eclectic. Ordering was difficult as the two workers were doing it all—taking and making orders. It was a Friday night and the food was slow in coming. The payment of the bill was rather a haphazard process. It seems like anyone could have easily walked out without anyone ever noticing.
